Always Be Honest When Applying for a Mortgage

If you have previously been rejected by a traditional lender when applying for a mortgage, and you have discovered that it is down to your poor credit history, you might think that it is best to hide as much of your past as possible when applying again. This would be folly. As with any other type of financial service, honesty should always be your policy.
The problem you have is that any lender will have complete access to your entire credit history for the last six years, so will know instantly that you have omitted certain information (or outright lied) during your application process. For those people who have suffered bankruptcy or similar in the past, there could be entries from even longer than six years ago that will be visible to lenders.
Always be completely honest in every aspect of an application for a financial service of any kind, as you want to have a clear picture as to whether you should borrow money or not. The last thing anyone wants is to be unable to make repayments on a loan that has been awarded due to a false application.
At Central Mortgages it is always better to be upfront and honest with us. Our team has extensive experience in helping people find poor credit mortgages, or other types of specialist mortgage.
